Making quiet voices heard

I am here to help you to confidently be yourself at work and find your authentic way to thrive in your career as an introvert.

As a fellow introvert, I understand how navigating your career in a loud world can be tough. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Understanding your values, strengths, and exploring challenges through coaching can transform your path to achieving goals. It’s only when you are able to do more of what you are great at, and manage your energy to tackle activities that stretch you, that you’ll find fulfilment at work.

With 20 years of experience in large organisations, I’ve learned a lot about working in the corporate landscape while staying true to who I am. That’s why I started “The Quiet Catalyst” – it’s more than just a business name; it’s a reflection of my journey and a platform to create opportunity for fellow introverts.

Throughout my career I have loved the chance to get into the detail of all the technical aspects that marketing roles in the healthcare space can bring. I found that I enjoyed managing people and helping them to grow with a natural coaching style to leadership.

As my career grew my biggest challenge was being overlooked and spoken over by louder colleagues. I was left feeling like I was in the wrong place, drained and frustrated. My confidence took a serious knock and I actually thought there was something wrong with me.  However, coaching helped me to understand the power of my quiet strengths and how to have impact in a way that left me energised and excited for the next day.

I’m passionate about helping others, so it is important for me to share my experiences, know-how, and support through my work. I’m on a mission to shake up the status quo about what it takes to be successful as an introvert and to demonstrate how quiet can be a catalyst for everyone’s professional growth.

Outside of work, I particularly enjoy running and walking. I find spending time outside in nature really restorative and it helps me to refill my battery, especially when I am feeling ‘peopled-out’. Like many introverts, I find the ultimate escapism in unwinding with a good book (ideally under a cosy blanket).

An “impact” means a measurable unit of positive change created in the world. It’s typically broken down into one item (e.g. a tree, a meal or a book) or one day of specific support and access to resources provided to uplift lives.

  • Sarah gave me a chance to explore my options in a safe and non-judgemental way at a time when I was looking at where to go next in my career. She listened, asked questions and helped me rediscover an inner confidence in my own abilities and experience. The result? I start an exciting new position imminently. And while I may have applied for the position without Sarah’s support, her ability to help me see the positives in my experience where I saw potential gaps definitely enabled me to shine enough at the interviews to land the role. I would totally recommend Sarah as a coach.

  • Sarah’s coaching sessions are like a little gift to yourself, a way to gain self awareness beyond the limits you were able to reach on your own. By asking the right questions, through careful listening and thanks to a gifted empathy, Sarah is taking you on a journey to discover yourself, every question one step deeper.

    Kasia Cortes-Gebala, Head of Marketing

  • Sarah is a natural coach. She has the right combination of ‘reassuring and friendliness’ that allows you to relax and trust her; and ‘expert and professional’, that gives you the extra level of confidence that you are in very capable hands. She puts you at ease from the beginning and it allows you to open and dig deep into yourself to be able to fully leverage the coaching experience.

Caterina Bonfiglio , Learning & Development Director

  • Having coaching sessions with Sarah has been a magical journey of finding myself, like being led by someone with a torch to explore your inner thoughts. Along the journey, I have identified and removed imaginary obstacles I recreated for myself, which I was not even aware of before. Sarah’s coaching leaves no trace during the session but always has a profound impact afterward. Her coaching style makes you feel like being with a trusted old friend.

  • I was in need of a career change and had no idea where to start. After working with Sarah I am excited to be embarking on a new career path and feel confident about my decisions. It is easy to connect with Sarah because she is such an empathetic person, and is able to ask tough questions in a way that is kind and reassuring. I was able to explore my relationship with work in a way that I could never have managed on my own.
