Helping introverts to thrive in their careers

Coaching, mentoring, and workshops for individuals and organisations

My Ethos

Championing Quiet Strengths

In a world where it feels that those that shout the loudest get the biggest rewards, let’s take a step back to recognise the value of a quieter, more considered approach. Daring to be your authentic self takes courage, especially if you have received feedback to be louder or bolder in the past.

Thriving Through Authenticity

Understanding what success means to you and exploring how you want to get there is vital for your growth to be fulfilling. In busy work environments,  where introverts can easily become drained, it’s essential that you understand how to manage your personal battery with things that energise you to be able to take a stretch on things that cost you energy.

One-to-One Coaching & Mentoring

For introverts wanting to achieve greater success in their careers.

Every coaching package is tailored to the individual according to your needs and goals and typically encompasses six 1-hour sessions. People come to me for coaching for many reasons including: feeling stuck in your career, taking on a new leadership position, and struggling with a specific work relationship or situation.

Typical things that we might discuss together include your definition of success, what is important to you in work and life, how you can use your quiet strengths more effectively, and techniques to feel more confident in challenging situations. You can count on me to create a supportive space for you to explore your unique way of achieving what you really want and decide how you want to put your plan into action.

One-to-one-coaching and mentoring courage statement

Key to my work is for you to discover ways that move you towards your goals whilst being authentic to your values and personality, and never needing to pretend to be something you are not.

These sessions are online or in-person (depending on location).

Group Coaching & Mentoring

For individuals wanting a supportive peer network to share challenges, discuss ideas and build confidence in group settings.

Group coaching and mentoring positive statement

‘Quiet Catalyst Circles’ offer support and guidance on the most frequently asked questions and challenges faced by introverts at work.  The group coaching program runs for 4 sessions and will typically include sessions focused on: networking, having impact in meetings and workshops, leading a team, and working with people of the opposite type. At the end of each program I offer a one-to-one coaching session to guide you to reflect on your learnings and to support you in building your action plan to achieve your career goals.

Groups are kept small (up to 5 people) to allow time for reflection, sharing experiences, and discussion with the opportunity for everyone’s voices to be heard.

These sessions are online only. Please enquire for start dates.

Coaching & Workshops in Organisations

For businesses wanting to support the success of their quieter team members.

I offer speaking engagements, workshops, and coaching to support the introverts in your team to thrive by working with individuals, teams, and leaders. Themes for team sessions can include: “Unlocking Introvert Strengths – Building Quiet Skills to Thrive in the Workplace”; “Quiet Leadership: Understanding the Power of Introversion to Lead Teams Effectively”; and “The Value of Quiet: How Everyone Can Benefit from More Quiet in a VUCA World”.

Coaching and workshops in organisations strength statement

 FAQs

  • As an introvert with two decades of experience of figuring out how to be successful at work in a way that played to my strengths and provided me with enough energy to face the challenges of working in environments that favoured extroversion – I get it.

Having trained as a coach with 2 of the most renowned providers in the UK, I saw the opportunity to combine my experience and my training to support fellow introverts in their journey. I am passionate about helping others to avoid some of the pitfalls I experienced and finding their own way to enjoy life at work.

In fact, I am so passionate about helping fellow introverts to find success in their careers – I wrote a book about it!

  • My focus for individual and group sessions is to have a predominantly coaching approach. This means that you are in control of what you want to achieve in the session(s) and what actions you chose to take as a result of our conversation. My job is to provide a supportive space to help you explore your topic and possible solutions. I do this by helping you to recognise the power of your strengths, consider situations from different perspectives, to challenge you, and to celebrate your achievements.

When requested and relevant, I can offer the perspective of a mentor as someone who has walked in similar shoes by sharing my experiences and what I have seen work in similar situations. I will support you to think about what this learning could mean for your situation.

  • Coaching can be a transformative experience for anyone wanting to pursue a goal or manage change. The areas I often coach include: starting a new role, stepping into a leadership position, managing difficult relationships in your team, feeling stuck in your career, building confidence and capability in challenging situations at work.

  • Great! No one should feel restricted by their labels. Let’s talk about your goals and how my approach could support you.

  • Increased confidence, clarity and courage are the three things I hear most often from clients. Coaching is not magic wand and, for the best results, will require you to work between the sessions on further reflection on your takeouts and putting your learnings into practice.

  • Sarah gave me a chance to explore my options in a safe and non-judgemental way at a time when I was looking at where to go next in my career. She listened, asked questions and helped me rediscover an inner confidence in my own abilities and experience. The result? I start an exciting new position imminently. And while I may have applied for the position without Sarah’s support, her ability to help me see the positives in my experience where I saw potential gaps definitely enabled me to shine enough at the interviews to land the role. I would totally recommend Sarah as a coach.

  • Sarah’s coaching sessions are like a little gift to yourself, a way to gain self awareness beyond the limits you were able to reach on your own. By asking the right questions, through careful listening and thanks to a gifted empathy, Sarah is taking you on a journey to discover yourself, every question one step deeper.

    Kasia Cortes-Gebala, Head of Marketing

  • Sarah is a natural coach. She has the right combination of ‘reassuring and friendliness’ that allows you to relax and trust her; and ‘expert and professional’, that gives you the extra level of confidence that you are in very capable hands. She puts you at ease from the beginning and it allows you to open and dig deep into yourself to be able to fully leverage the coaching experience.

Caterina Bonfiglio , Learning & Development Director

  • Having coaching sessions with Sarah has been a magical journey of finding myself, like being led by someone with a torch to explore your inner thoughts. Along the journey, I have identified and removed imaginary obstacles I recreated for myself, which I was not even aware of before. Sarah’s coaching leaves no trace during the session but always has a profound impact afterward. Her coaching style makes you feel like being with a trusted old friend.
